ISKA World Kickboxing Championship, IEC, Kyiv

From May 1 to May 6, 2018, the ISKA World Kickboxing Championship was held at the International Exhibition Center. (ISKA - International Sport Karate Association), the International Sports Karate Association, was founded in 1986, and in 2014 a new name for this organization was approved - the International Sports Kickboxing Association). According to the organizers, more than 500 athletes from 30 countries of the world, including the USA, China, Great Britain, Germany, took part in the tournament. The opening ceremony, which took place on May 1st, was attended by the mayor of Kyiv, and in the recent past, the world famous boxer Vitali Klitschko. In a welcoming speech to all participants of the competition, he noted the following: "Kyiv for the first time in its history hosts the World Kickboxing Championship, but I hope not the last! Our city is increasingly hosting high-level international sporting events. Let me remind you that on May 26, the capital will also be hosting for the first time host the UEFA Champions League final. And in the fall, the World Boxing Council (WBC) Congress will be held in Kyiv. This is also an important event in the world of boxing. I am convinced that our guests will like the capital of Ukraine, our beautiful city. And they will all want to come back here again." Together with the mayor, the presidents of the kickboxing federations of the USA, Great Britain and Ukraine took part in the Opening Ceremony. Bita music has been selected as the general technical contractor for the ISKA World Championship. To meet the requirements of the organizers, the Layher spectator stands for 1000 seats were installed, the visual concept of the main stage of the event was developed, and subsequently the installation of the stage and the entire complex of audiovisual and lighting equipment was implemented.
